Camping, the UK’s only magazine dedicated to life under canvas, has awarded Outwell’s Fantasy Range as winners in two categories of their annual awards, in association with The Camping and Caravanning Club.
Outwell’s Fantasy Range has been named Tent of the Year 2010, and the Outwell Fantasy Explorer has won the Small Family/Tourer Tent Category. The Outwell Bear Lake 6 also came highly recommended in the Family Tent Category.
Judged by a panel of top camping journalists and readers, the Camping Magazine Awards recognise the hard work and innovation that goes into each product. Judging criteria included: value for money; quality of service materials, build and specification; innovation and originality; excellence of design and styling, safety as well as price.
Camping magazine editor, Clive Garrett, says: The family lies at the heart of the Outwell camping philosophy and its latest Fantasy Collection takes things to a new high. The tents have been designed with kids squarely in mind and features include a Kids Room and Game Wall for use outside with the included outdoor Games Set that contains the balls, paddles etc.
The Fantasy Collection is a real winner and our judging panel found it hard to choose from the three models available. All three tents combine practicality with a healthy dose of fun – and that is what camping is about.
However, for value and versatility it is the £309 Explorer that gets the vote for Tent of the Year in our 2010 Camping Magazine Awards – although you could consider the honour shared with the entire Fantasy Range.”
